How to create your own game top-up store, step by step

5 min read

From sign-up to the first order: build the shop while nobody can see it, add your goods at your prices and the payment methods your customers already use, then subscribe and it opens.

To create your own game top-up store on doabletech you do seven things in order: sign up, give the shop its name and look, add your goods at your prices, add the payment methods your customers already use, decide how each order is fulfilled, subscribe so the shop opens to the public, and share its address. All of it happens in one dashboard, with no code.

One thing to understand first: doabletech does not sell you goods and does not stand between you and your source. You buy top-ups and gift cards from your source as you do today, sell them in your shop at the price you type, and what your customers pay you stays yours. You pay us a subscription for the shop, and nothing per sale.

The steps

  1. Sign up on the registration page with your name, your email, a password and a few details about your business. At the same moment a shop is created for you in preview: you can see it and work on it, and anybody else who visits its address finds a page that does not exist. Nobody sees a half-built shop.
  2. Give the shop its name and look on the shop settings and appearance screens: the name, a line beneath it, the logo, your colour, one of five ready-made themes, and a navigation bar across the top or a rail down the side. The dashboard is in Arabic; the screens are «إعدادات المتجر» and «مظهر المتجر».
  3. Arrange your goods. Create your sections (games, apps, gift cards, subscriptions…), then add each product on the goods screen («بضاعتك») with its picture and description, and its denominations under it. Each denomination has a name as your customer reads it, a price you type, an option to ask the customer for their account id for anything topped up by id, and instructions shown to the customer before they pay.
  4. Add your payment methods: bank transfer, wallet apps, cash at the counter, whatever your customers know, with the account details, the method's logo and a QR code if you like. The detail is in “How to accept payments from customers of your top-up store”.
  5. Decide how each order is fulfilled. By you or your team from the queue of orders waiting to be filled; from codes you load in advance, handed over the moment the customer pays; or by an Android phone paired with your shop that performs direct top-ups from your own account with your supplier.
  6. Subscribe. On the subscription screen you choose the plan and pay it from your account balance. While the period you paid for is running the shop is open to the public, and it opens by itself when the subscription starts. If the period ends without a renewal it closes to visitors until you renew, and your goods, customers and their balances stay exactly as they were.
  7. Share your address in your WhatsApp and Telegram groups and on your pages.

What happens when the first customer buys

The customer opens an account at your shop and tops up their balance with one of your payment methods, which lands in your top-up requests for you to approve. Then they buy from that balance: the amount is taken, the order is fulfilled the way you chose for that denomination, and the customer is told inside the shop and by email when it is delivered. If you decline an order for any reason, the amount goes back to the customer's balance automatically.

Before you subscribe: three checks

  • Prices. Does each denomination's price cover your true cost, including transfer fees and exchange differences? The method is in “How to price game top-ups and gift cards and work out your profit”.
  • Instructions. For every denomination topped up by id, have you told the customer where to find that id?
  • Pages. Your shop comes with ready-made terms, privacy, refund and how-to-recharge pages written in your shop's name, in Arabic. Read them and change whatever does not match how you work.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need programming experience to create a top-up store?

No. Everything in the steps above is a form you fill in on the dashboard, and the shop works on a phone and a computer as it is.

Does the platform supply the goods or the codes?

No. doabletech rents you the shop and its tools, nothing more. You buy the goods from your own source, you set their prices, and we buy and sell nothing on your behalf.

What currency are my prices in?

US dollars, which is also the currency your customers' balances are kept in.

Can anyone see my shop before I subscribe?

No. The shop is in preview and visible only to you until your subscription starts. The plans and what they include are on the pricing section.
