How to accept payments from customers of your top-up store

To accept payments from the customers of your top-up store, add every way they already pay — bank transfer, a wallet app, a money transfer, cash at the counter — as a payment method with its account details and instructions, and ask for a transaction number or a photo of the receipt. The customer tops up their balance with the method they know, the top-up lands in your queue for you to approve, and then they buy from that balance.
Add a manual payment method
- Open the payment methods screen and add a method. The dashboard is in Arabic; the screen is «طرق الدفع». Name the method the way your customer knows it: the bank's name, the wallet's name, or "cash at the counter".
- Enter the account details: where the money is sent — an IBAN, a wallet number, or a crypto wallet address.
- Write the instructions: what the customer does after paying, such as attaching a photo of the receipt.
- Add the method's logo and a QR code if you like. A customer recognises their wallet app by its logo before they read its name, and a QR code saves them copying the account digit by digit — while the number stays printed beside it for someone paying from the same phone.
- Choose how a transfer is identified. Either require a transaction number, which makes it mandatory and refuses the same number twice anywhere in your shop, or have the shop issue a code the customer writes in the transfer's note, for methods where the customer only learns the transaction number after sending.
- Order your methods with the most used at the top, and switch one off temporarily without deleting it.
How a customer tops up
The customer picks a method and sees the account details, the instructions and the QR code. They send the money, then enter the amount and the transaction number or code and attach the receipt photo. The request lands in your top-up queue: approve it and the amount is added to their balance and they are told, or decline it with a reason they can read.
A receipt photo is never public: only your shop and the customer who uploaded it can open it.
Automatic payments
On the automatic payments screen you can connect your shop to some supported payment services with your own key, among them a service where the customer pays an invoice from their wallet app, and a cryptocurrency gateway. When the service confirms the payment, the balance is added to the customer's account without you reviewing it. The money goes to your account with that service, not to the platform. The list of supported services is shown on that screen.
Practical advice
- Require a transaction number for every method that gives the customer one. It is the fastest way to match a transfer on your statement, and refusing a repeated number closes the door on the same receipt being sent twice.
- Do not approve a top-up before you see the money in your account. A receipt photo shows the customer sent something, not that it arrived.
- Add "cash at the counter" if your customers walk in, so they pay you there and buy in the shop.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a card payment gateway to open a top-up store?
No. You can run on manual methods alone — transfers, wallets and cash — reviewing each top-up before it is credited.
Does my customers' money pass through the platform?
No. The customer pays into the account you entered, or into the payment service connected with your own key, and the money reaches you directly. The platform keeps the top-up request and the balance's ledger, nothing more.
What if a customer uploads a receipt for a transfer that never arrived?
Decline the top-up and give the reason; nothing is added to their balance. If the method requires a transaction number, the same number cannot be submitted again.
